Of course, I could always fall back on wondering what last week’s low temperatures this late in the winter will do to the spruce bark beetle? AGGGH. And now it is above freezing. What is going on with our weather this month? What we have right now is normal, but last week’s cold snap?

Meteorologist Mark Dixon said the storm looks to feature a soaking rain, gusty winds and even some snow.
Channel 3 issued an Early Warning Weather Alert for the next two days. Scattered showers continue with the rain filling in becoming steadier, perhaps moderate-to-heavy at times later [Thursday] afternoon through the evening hours, Dixon said.

Thursday is also breezy and cool with highs in the 40s and lower-50s.
As the storm continues to move over New England, the atmosphere will turn colder from top to bottom. Our forecast is on track, with a transition to snow after midnight and into Friday morning, Dixon said.Â
